Mark Carey graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. degree and later received a MBA degree in marketing. After 6 years in the military and 18 years in sales and marketing, Mark started his own software training business. The Helper Company was founded in March 2001 and has become a leading regional software training company in the NW, providing online software training for government agencies, businesses, and dozens of academic institutions. Mark was instrumental in creating new markets for innovative online training. This background has been the foundation upon which MyClassroomHelper was created. Sam Green has been in the Computer Technical Support field for over five years, increasing his level of knowledge and responsibility with companies such as Packard Bell/NEC, AT&T, LearnKey, as well as his own technical consulting business. He is A+ Certified. Sam comes to The Helper Company with several years of experience with implementing and supporting various computer-based training platforms. The Helper Company's Vision:
The Helper Company consists of two units – MySoftwareHelper (The Source for Software Training Solutions) and MyClassroomHelper (Linking Teachers, Students, and Parents). They both share the same goal – to help facilitate and enable a positive learning environment. Our programs have been used to train thousands of students in over 40 High Schools, Community and Technical Colleges, and Universities. The same programs have also been deployed training Washington State employees, unemployed job seekers, as well as the Boeing Company. We believe that all students, young or adult, need to be more engaged in the learning process and held accountable for the outcome. Each division of The Helper Company facilitates that, but in a slightly different way.
MySoftwareHelper provides media-rich learning content where students see the steps, hear an explanation, and perform the tasks. We specialize in quality technology training that utilizes an interactive video or flash interface. Assessment tests track progress along the way and hold students accountable.
MyClassroomHelper completes the learning process by allowing students to write daily online Journals and establish portfolios of their “best work”. Teachers, students, and parents can communicate with each other in a safe environment that fosters educational and personal growth.
